Tooth Filling
Did you know that a simple tooth filling can prevent tooth decay and loss? That's why it's so important to consult a dentist as soon as you notice something "off" with a tooth. Pain, inflammation, discoloration, and sensitivity to heat and cold are some of the telltale signs of cavities. Once a cavity is confirmed, our experienced team can remove the decay from the tooth, clean the tooth, and then apply a filling. We'll help you choose between gold, porcelain, and other materials that will fortify and protect your tooth by providing information on tooth filling cost, durability, appearance, and more.
Dental Crowns and Bridges
Crowns and bridges can transform your mouth. By using a tooth crown as a dental cap over a damaged tooth before adding a bridge, you won't need to do a full mouth of implants if you're missing several teeth. An implant with a crown can be used to restore one tooth that will serve as an anchor on either side of your gap. The bridge will then connect your abutting teeth using a row on pontics. If you have healthy teeth available to hold the bridge, we can create a bridge for you that works with natural teeth.
Will My Local Dentist Provide Fillings, Bridges, and Crowns?
Absolutely! Our dental office provides all of these treatments in a friendly, comfortable setting. Simply book a dental exam. Based on our findings, we'll provide you with suggestions about the best options for restoring your smile. We'll also discuss insurance and payment options with you.
What to Expect for Filling, Crown, and Dental Bridge Cost
Each tooth crown, filling, or bridge is fully customized for patients. As a result, there are simply too many factors in play to provide a flat estimate. When you book a consultation, our dental team will provide you with a personalized cost estimate based on the type of restorative work that needs to be done, the materials that will be used, and your insurance.
What You Should Know About Tooth Fillings
Modern tooth fillings provide a comfortable, long-lasting way to address tooth decay. Popular filling options include gold, porcelain, silver amalgam, and tooth-colored composite. Our team will be happy to help you pick the ideal option based on your needs.
What You Should Know About Crowns for Teeth
Did you know that there's more than one type of dental crown? At our office, patients can choose from ceramic, porcelain-metal, gold alloy, and more. All of these options can make great dental caps that protect against bacteria or decay. Generally, restoration of a front tooth is done with ceramic. We'll provide information about the dental crown cost and durability for each option to help you make a decision.
What You Should Know About Bridges
When you make the decision to restore your smile using bridges created by our dental team, we can provide you with several different options. With a traditional bridge, custom crowns are fabricated for the implant or capped teeth on either side of the affected area. False teeth called pontics are then placed between those two "anchor" teeth. If an adjacent tooth is available on just one side of the affected area, we may recommend a specialized cantilever bridge.
Getting Your Dental Crown
There's no need to feel nervous about the process of getting a dental crown! Our office will take every measure possible to provide a comfortable, painless experience. What's more, we'll provide you with a temporary crown that you can wear to ensure that it's never obvious that you're in the process of having restorative work done between appointments.
We'll start the process by shaping and preparing the damaged tooth to ready it for its custom crown. An impression will be made to help us fabricate a "perfect match" that will look and feel just like your own tooth. Once your crown has been fabricated, you'll return to our office to have it placed.
Getting Your Tooth Bridge
Most people can get a complete tooth bridge fitted in just two appointments. Your first visit is a time to prepare the abutment teeth that will be used to join your new bridge to the rest of your teeth. By removing a small amount of enamel, we can create the perfect connection spot for your new bridge. You'll be given a temporary bridge to wear when leaving your first appointment to help to conceal any alterations that we've made. When you return to our office, we'll place your custom bridge in your mouth. Your dentist will spend time assessing the fit to see if any last-minute adjustments need to be made for your comfort.
